Answer- No. Gallbladder is defective in patients with gall bladder stones and needs surgical removal
Question - Is there any digestion problem after cholecystectomy?
Answer- No Function of gall bladder is to store and concentrate bile which is produced by liver and goes in intestine. After removal of gall bladder, bile goes directly in intestine. Digestion of food does not depend on gall bladder.
Question- How many days are required for recovery after surgery?
Answer- Generally patient can be discharged on the next day after surgery and is able to take soft diet. Patient can resume office work in one week.
